Today the patient that I was living with reached the end of her journey here on earth. She left peacefully and with dignity. I have learned a lot from my experiences with her and am grateful for the opportunity. I will be moving back to Sumter County with Janet and my puppy Zoey.

Research before you speak
There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq in January. In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in themonth of January. That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war-torn country of Iraq. When some claim that President Bush shouldn't have started this war, state the following: FDR led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us; Japan did.
>From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost ..an average of 112,500 per year. Truman finished that war and started one in Korea. North Korea never attacked us.>From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost ..an average of 18,334 per year. John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
>From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost .an average of 5,800 per year. Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent. Bosnia never attacked us.In the years since terrorists attacked us , President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran, and North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist whoslaughtered 300,000 of his own people. It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51-day operation. We've been looking for evidence for chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose Law Firm billing records. It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and theMarines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at ChappaquiddickIt took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida!!!! Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB! The Military morale is high! The biased media hopes we are too ignorant to realize the facts.

Someday's I Wonder

Well, school is getting harder and my job is too. I've watched my sister give birth to her baby boy and it was one of the most memorable events of my life. But watching the end of someone's life is something you never forget either. I am here for a reason and day by day I'm learning more about what that reason is. I believe I am lucky to share such intimate moments with people, it makes me appriciate the simple things in life even more than I already do.

A DAY OFF!!!
Today was the Sumter County Fall Festival, and it started off with the traditional parade. I picked up Zoey and we headed off to the festivities! We met Melissa and Cruz there along with a bunch of our other friends. We had a great time socializing with everyone and I was just happy to see my baby boxer again! I was nice to get out of the house and have some me time, even though I called to check on "my lady" about five times....

Help is on it's way!
Well, I talked to the social worker today and he made me feel a lot better. The past few days I have been overwhelmed with school, taking care of someone full time, and doing some odd jobs for work. The social worker offered some volunteer relief for me so that I could go to the store and a CNA to help with bathing a couple times a week, it was a God Send!

So How's babysitting going?
It seems to be the most commonly asked question for me. Well, it's different I guess I never realized how much I enjoyed my freedom of being able to go where ever I wanted when ever I wanted. I never thought I would look forward to going to school or to the grocery store just to get out of the confines of a pleasantly located condo.
Overall things are going good. I'm keeping myself very busy. I enjoy taking care of "her" and I think she enjoys my company. This whole experience is teaching me a lot about life and myself.
I still have not unpacked my clothes and I call my friends on a daily basis just to make sure they don't forget about me.

21 AT LAST!!
10-10-05 ~*~* It was my BIG day, after a day full of caregiving and a 3 hour class I finally got to meet up with all of my friends and family at Chili's to enjoy my first legal drinks! It was so nice to see everyone even though it's only been a week since my depature from Sumter County.
Getting a Fresh Start!
To get everyone updated, last week I took a job offer to be a full-time caregiver for a Hospice patient in Mt. Dora. So with only a couple days notice, I packed my belongings, left my precious boxer Zoey and headed to Lake County. At 20 years of age, I feel as though I'm only begining my journey through life and I'm now intimately experiencing someone else's final days of their journey. It's not such an easy task but I believe that it will allow me to appriciate the life that I have. You shouldn't remember people for how they died, but for how they lived.
